How to get tickets for events at the Civic

Online

If you want to buy your tickets online, then you’ve already come to the right place.
All our events plus the majority of our hirers events are available right here on the website.

On the Homepage simply choose the event you want to attend and click on “More Info” to see a little more detail, or click on “Book” to go straight to
the online ticket sales portal. From there simply follow the instructions.

Our online sales are managed by Ticketsource.

We do not charge a booking fee.
However some of hirers do, and where we are aware of this we will include an indicator on their event page – just so you know that you might end up paying a little more.

Sometimes you might want a little more information than what it on the website. If so give our team a call during Box Office hours and
we will do our best to answer any of your questions, or find someone who can.

 

In Person

To get tickets for our events is to visit the Box Office at the Civic Hall.

The Civic is open 10am – 2pm Tuesday to Friday and 11am – 1pm every Saturday.
We are closed on Sundays and Mondays

Some of the private hire events will also have a box office phone number on the event page or posters.

By Phone

Out of Office Hours you can purchase tickets by phone using the TicketSource Telephone Box Office Service:

please note this is a ticket sales line only not a general enquiries phone number.

• The telephone box office service is available Mondays to Fridays, 9.00am to 7.00pm (excluding bank holidays) and Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm.

• Calls received outside of these hours will operate on an answerphone and call back facility.

• The service is available via an 03 telephone number (Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as a normal landline number (i.e. 03 numbers cost the same to call as an 01 or 02 phone number) even from a mobile, or are completely free if the caller has free minutes. It is also possible to call an 03 number from abroad.)

• Customers choosing to use the telephone service will pay the same rate as someone booking online and choosing to receive “standard post” tickets i.e. tickets + the standard post rate of £1.50

• Tickets for telephone bookings received more than three working days before the event will be dispatched in the post. Tickets for telephone bookings received less than four working days before the event will either be sent to the customer as a mobile ticket (to their mobile phone) or as an e-ticket to their email address. If customers have neither a mobile or email address Ticketsource will supply a booking confirmation number & advise you to bring some form of identification with you

 

 

Refunds

We do not refund tickets unless the event has been cancelled/rescheduled or where there is a material change to the programme of the event .

The Civic will make all reasonable endeavours to ensure that a event will proceed.

In the event of The Civic cancelling a performance we will do our best to contact audience members in advance but this may not be practical or possible.
This maybe by email, or by phone, and we usually make announcements on our Facebook Page.

If you purchased your tickets online, then our online ticket provider will also contact you by email.

If an event has to be cancelled during the activity, an announcement will be made from the stage, and will be followed up by email highlighting your options.

Where the event has been cancelled The Civic will refund the original cost of the tickets, but not any fees or charges.
The Civic is not liable for any other costs associated with attending an event.

Tickets sold or transferred for commercial gain may void the ticket  and the holder could be refused entry.
